This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director of Product Management.
You will:- Define and champion a compelling product vision and strategy for Waymo's AV simulator
- Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, operations, system engineering and safety experts to define product requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering, Research, Systems Engineering, Safety, and Operations teams to gather requirements, align roadmaps, and ensure successful development and deployment of new simulation capabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the simulator, identifying opportunities to improve realism and efficiency
- Partner with research to build and leverage large-scale foundation models in Simulation
You have:- A BS degree in Computer Science, engineering, similar technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of relevant product management experience, with a proven track record of owning and launching complex technical products.
- Strong technical acumen and demonstrated experience developing and launching AI/ML powered products, including familiarity with foundation models or generative AI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
We prefer:- Experience working on simulation systems, robotics, autonomous vehicle technology, or game engines.
- Deep understanding of and experience in productizing AI/ML models, including large-scale foundation models.
- Knowledge of sensor simulation, synthetic data generation, or world modeling.
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
