Job Title: Senior Product Manager

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000
About this position:Advantech is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our ACG (ODM/Server) product team at our North American Headquarters in Tustin, CA. This role will lead product strategy and portfolio management for embedded computing and server-related programs, with a focus on ODM product development. The Senior Product Manager will translate customer and market needs into product requirements, guide cross-functional teams, and oversee programs from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with product specifications, quality standards, schedules, and business objectives.
Responsibilities:- Establish and improve product management best practices, including new product introduction (NPI) processes, product requirements, and documentation standards.
- Translate customer and market needs into product specifications, roadmap priorities, business cases, and actionable development plans.
- Monitor market and competitive trends in embedded and server computing to identify growth opportunities and inform product strategy.
- Partner with senior leadership to define ODM product strategy for server and embedded computing solutions and align product and technology roadmaps with global product teams.
- Provide direction on feature prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio management to support business growth and maximize product value.
- Oversee end-to-end product development and NPI activities from concept through launch, ensuring products meet quality standards, specifications, and established timelines.
- Manage product costs, pricing, margins, and commercial terms. Evaluate non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs, recurring costs, tooling, logistics, warranty considerations, and business risks to support profitable decisions.
- Review product requirements, technical specifications, and documentation developed by the team, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
- Monitor progress across the product portfolio, identify potential risks, and coordinate resolution of escalations to minimize delays.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align goals, priorities, and project timelines.
- Guide market research and analysis of customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics to inform product vision and strategy.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in product management or a related role within the technology, embedded computing, server, or related hardware industry.
- 5+ years of experience managing manufacturing partners across multiple geographic regions and time zones, including coordinating cross-functional execution, resolving issues, and meeting quality, schedule, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams and coordinating stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Demonstrated experience bringing hardware products from concept through development and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of product planning, market analysis, and roadmap development within the technology, embedded computing, server, or related hardware industry.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and using project management tools.
- Experience analyzing data and market insights to support product strategy and business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus. Equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
- Experience in original design manufacturer (ODM), original equipment manufacturer (OEM), or joint design manufacturer (JDM) product environments.
- Experience with embedded computing, server computing, or related hardware technologies.
