Your RoleWe're looking for experienced Product Engineers who operate with
high agency, strong ownership, and deep curiosity.
This is not a scoped, ticket-driven role. You'll work directly with the founders to define product direction, build core systems, and ship end-to-end experiences.

Technical expectations:- 6+ years of experience building production web applications
- Experience with modern web stacks (e.g. TypeScript, React, Next.js, or similar)
- Experience with backend systems and APIs (e.g. Node, Python, Flask, or similar)
- Comfortable working with data-intensive applications and distributed systems
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and move across the stack as needed
- Solid understanding of performance, system design, and scalability
- Experience building and shipping production systems
This is a hybrid in-office role in San Mateo, CA. Coefficient takes a market-based approach to pay. The candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and interview performance. For candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the salary range will be $150,000-250,000. For candidates outside of the Bay Area, the salary range will be determined by location and adjusted for cost of labor.
