What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking a Senior UX Designer to drive engaging, user-centered experiences across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on contributor, a strong collaborator, and an advocate for intuitive, accessible design that enhances the customer journey.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on consumer-facing digital products
- Strong background in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture
- Experience with Design Systems, including scaling and maintaining component libraries
- Advanced Mastery in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent tools)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development best practices is a plus
- Strong ability to communicate complex interactive concepts to cross-functional teams
- Leverage AI to accelerate research, synthesis, and iteration — while keeping human judgment and user empathy at the center of every design decision.
- Portfolio showcasing user-centered, visually compelling designs and design rationale.
Who this role isn't for:
- The Siloed Creator: If you prefer working in isolation or just want to take a highly prescriptive brief and execute it, this won't be a fit. You will be expected to actively lead UX efforts and collaborate deeply with product managers and engineers from ideation to launch.
- The One-Off Designer: We rely on consistency and efficiency across our products. If you prefer crafting standalone visual masterpieces rather than advocating for systematic design and scaling component libraries, this environment might frustrate you.
- The "AI is the Output" Thinker: While we expect you to leverage AI to accelerate research and iteration, the final output requires human judgment and user empathy. This role isn't for someone who treats AI-generated concepts as finished work
What you’ll do:
As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll work with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to shape the customer experience across Custom Ink’s digital ecosystem.
- Lead UX design efforts from ideation through launch, collaborating with product managers and engineers
- Design and refine user journeys by translating research insights into intuitive, engaging experiences
- Develop and enhance our Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products
- Advocate for systematic designing, teaching best practices and fostering alignment with engineers and designers
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to drive evidence-based design decisions
- Iterate on designs based on feedback, usability testing, and business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
How you’ll be measured:
- Impact on design quality: Advancement of the Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products.
- User engagement & conversion: Delivery of intuitive, user-centered experiences that drive higher conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
- Influence & leadership: Ability to advocate for systematic design practices and mentor cross-functional teams on UX best practices.
- Communication & collaboration: Effectiveness in building alignment across Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance the user experience.
- Data-informed decision-making: Success in leveraging research, usability testing, and analytics to drive design strategy and business outcomes.
How you’ll make a difference:
As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of Custom Ink’s e-commerce platform. Your expertise in design, research, and strategy will directly influence our customers' experiences, ensuring seamless and engaging interactions. As part of a collaborative, growth-driven team, your work will help drive business success while championing user-centered design.
