What You'll Do- Own end-to-end product design initiatives that cover the whole product experience (visual, interaction, motion, brand integration), to create thoughtful, high-quality user-centered mobile experiences.
- Prototype quickly in Figma and with AI and low-code tools like Replit, Lovable, and Claude, so you can get real, testable ideas in front of people early.
- Present your design work clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders (including senior leadership), give and take feedback well, anchoring your rationale to both user needs and business goals.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and collaboration through engineering implementation (build and QA) and post launch-iterations, to ensure high-quality execution.
- Use data and drive research to inform the experiences you build, and leverage performance insights to evolve your approach.
- Champion system-level thinking (improving how the team works and evolving Calm's design system) so the whole team works faster and smarter.
- Balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of execution.
Who You Are- Experienced Product Designer: 7+ years of experience in UX and UI design with 5+ within consumer mobile and web applications.
- AI-native and tooling-fluent: Highly proficient in Figma for design, and already using AI and low-code tools (Replit, Lovable, Claude) to prototype and move fast, with the judgment to know when the output is good enough and when it isn't.
- Technical agility: Comfortable shipping small code changes without engineering support, bridging the gap between design and engineering by personally shipping copy and UI polish directly.
- A builder: Biased toward shipping and iterating over perfect plans. You'd rather put a working prototype in front of people than write a doc about one.
- Data- and research-informed: You fold both qualitative and quantitative insight into your design decisions, and you measure whether the work landed.
- A strong collaborator: A low-ego, trusted partner to Product, Research, and Engineering who makes the people around them better and helps sharpen how the team works.
- High craft standards: A strong advocate for accessibility, consistency, visual storytelling, brand integration, and motion design to create engaging user experiences, while still maintaining velocity.
- A clear communicator: You present your thinking persuasively to stakeholders and senior leadership, give and take feedback well, and champion an experience while staying open to being wrong.
