Job Description
This role has as a goal and objectives to:
- Support Dashboard UX design for Business' information consumers, Business users in their different role levels (operational roles managerial roles, executive roles and strategic roles information consumers)
- Share design approaches, based on previous experience (as part of overall team)
- Implement PowerBI Dashboards for Business decision makers information
- Propose Dashboard design and UX approaches focused on Business user needs (less focus on engineering / technical / statistical / scientific viewpoints)
- Assist in the development of a strategic Information System, providing insights to the future, advancing the completeness / maturity of strategic initiatives
- Produce solution build and maintenance documentation (i.e. DAX complexity and specifications, comments about sources and complex filters, Dashboard's data quality risk assessment, Dashboard's data source dependance analysis, etc.)
- Deliver the solution in Development, ready for QA and PROD environments (for DevOps purposes)
Requirements
• Degree in Information Systems, any Engineering, Finance or other similar discipline that are enabled to use data
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience using Power BI
• Good understanding of the Microsoft Power BI desktop and service
• Strong knowledge of DAX, data modelling and power queries
• Ability to develop (create and update), publish, schedule reports and dashboards
• Ability to effectively manage a large data set and be able to process it
• Experience connecting to sources, importing and transforming data for business intelligence
• Experienced in developing user-friendly and insightful visual reports, dashboards and KPI dashboards using Power BI Desktop
• Adept at developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports according to business requirements
• Knowledge of SQL queries (the database design is already built or built by other team members, just expected to use it)
• Strong analytical and learning skills
• Autonomy and creativity in problem solving
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Written & verbal communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
A plus if:
• You know how to develop in Microsoft PowerApps tech stack
• Hands-on experience in data preparation, gateway and warehousing projects
• You worked in agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban
• You have experience designing, coding and debugging in C#, .NET or similar
