Position Description

The Senior Plumbing Design Engineer will serve as the plumbing discipline lead across multiple MEP projects. The successful candidate will combine strong technical design expertise with project coordination, staff mentorship, construction-phase support, and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead plumbing system selection, engineering, and design for a range of building types.
  • Prepare and review plumbing drawings, sketches, analyses, specifications, and calculations.
  • Coordinate effectively with architects, owners, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Manage and mentor plumbing design support staff while fostering a collaborative, accountable team environment.
  • Provide construction administration and conduct site observations related to assigned projects.
  • Support project management activities, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, coordination, and quality control.
  • Deliver responsive, professional service to clients and internal team members.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in MEP plumbing design and consulting.
  • Demonstrated team-leadership, staff-management, and project-management experience.
  • Working knowledge of the International Plumbing Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, International Building Code, and other applicable standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing design systems and building-system coordination.
  • Excellent communication, organization, client-service, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Experience & Skills:
  • Professional Engineer licensure or Certified in Plumbing Design credential.
  • LEED accreditation.
  • Experience using Autodesk Revit.
  • A collaborative leadership style and genuine interest in mentoring developing professionals.

Salary Range: $90,000-$150,000 annually, plus eligibility for a conditional bonus.
