Description:Senior Patient Registrar - OB/GYN | Maternal Fetal Medicine - Queens Medical Group
As aSenior Patient Registrar, you9ll play a vital role in creating a seamless and supportive experience for our patients.
In this role, you9ll be responsible for:
- Registering patients and scheduling appointments and procedures
- Answers and directs incoming calls
- Gathering demographic and insurance information
- Obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations
- Ensuring complete patient checkout, and follow up on physician9s orders
- Providing guidance and support to fellow administrative staff
- Serving as a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care journey
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday day-shift position with varying hours between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. Possible Saturday coverage may be required in the near future. The position is primarily based in Forest Hills and may need to travel to other locations within NYP Queens Medical Group.
Preferred Criteria:
- Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
- Experience working in a busy medical practice.
Required Criteria:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of clerical experience
- Proficient in computer skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Salary Range:
$34.65-$42.65/Hourly
