Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Organizational Design Consultant serves as the enterprise expert and strategic leader for organization design, organizational effectiveness, and operating model transformation. This role partners with senior executives, HR leaders, and business stakeholders to translate business strategy into organizational structures, governance models, decision rights, and workforce capabilities that drive performance and growth.

As the organization's lead organization design practitioner, this individual will establish and evolve enterprise-wide methodologies, frameworks, standards, and governance for organization design while leading complex, high-impact transformation initiatives. The role is responsible for consulting with executive leadership on organizational strategy, operating models, workforce implications, and organizational effectiveness, ensuring solutions are evidence-based, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in organization design, operating model development, organizational diagnostics, change leadership, and consulting. This position will also build and lead an internal organization design consulting capability, developing practitioners, advancing best practices, and creating sustainable enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead enterprise-wide organization design strategy, methodology, governance, and standards.
  • Partner with executives to align organizational structures and operating models with business strategy.
  • Lead complex organization design and transformation initiatives across multiple functions and business units.
  • Design and evaluate operating models, governance structures, decision rights, roles, and organizational interfaces.
  • Conduct organizational diagnostics and develop data-driven recommendations to improve effectiveness and performance.
  • Build organizational design capability through coaching, tools, learning programs, and communities of practice.
  • Lead and develop organization design consultants while ensuring consulting excellence and quality standards.
  • Partner with HR, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Change Management, and business leaders to implement and sustain organizational change.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in organization design, organizational effectiveness, workforce transformation, management consulting, HR strategy, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale organization design and operating model initiatives.
  • Experience influencing and consulting senior executives on complex organizational challenges.
  • Strong expertise in organizational diagnostics, governance design, workforce strategy, and change management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience developing and coaching consulting or professional teams.
