Job Summary
The Senior OIC / Oracle HCM Integration Engineer will design, develop, support, and troubleshoot integrations and APIs that facilitate HR data exchange between Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), and downstream enterprise systems. This role requires a strong backend and integration engineering background, with hands-on expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Java, APIs, SQL, Snowflake, and cloud technologies. The engineer will work with multiple technical teams to validate data, resolve integration issues, support production environments, and ensure reliable data movement across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations and jobs supporting Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, and downstream enterprise systems.
• Design, develop, and support APIs and backend integrations for enterprise applications.
• Facilitate HR data movement between systems using REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, and file-based integration methods.
• Develop and support integration solutions using Java, with a focus on API development and integration engineering.
• Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries using Oracle PL/SQL and/or Snowflake SQL to support data validation and integration requirements.
• Work with BI Publisher (BIP) reports and related data extraction requirements.
• Manage data movement and integration workflows involving Snowflake and cloud storage services such as AWS S3.
• Use Jenkins and Bitbucket to support development, version control, and deployment workflows.
• Analyze data structures, sources, and relationships to ensure accurate and consistent data exchange between systems.
• Troubleshoot API failures, integration errors, and production issues, and implement appropriate resolutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to coordinate integration development, testing, deployment, and support activities.
• Support production cutovers, change management activities, and Oracle quarterly release-related work as required.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of software or integration engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Hands-on experience working with Oracle HCM Cloud and/or Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC).
• Experience building, supporting, and troubleshooting OIC jobs and integrations.
• Java development experience, particularly in API development and integration engineering.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with BI Publisher (BIP) reporting.
• Strong SQL skills, including Oracle PL/SQL and/or Snowflake SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms or services, including AWS S3 or Azure.
• Experience with Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of data structures, data sources, and data relationships.
• Experience with SFTP and file-based integrations for enterprise data movement.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot API, integration, and production issues.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Python and Streamlit.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion.
• Experience with SailPoint, ServiceNow, or CyberArk.
• Experience supporting AWS migrations.
• Familiarity with Azure and Office 365 (O365).
• Experience supporting Oracle quarterly releases.
• Experience working with HR technology or HR systems.
• Experience with change management and production cutovers.
