Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Red Deer, Alberta. As the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer , this individual will use their knowledge of machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping to perform functions of project management, design, and technical support as defined by all departments in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. Senior Mechanical Project Engineer are responsible for providing our Red Deer and Northern Alberta locations with equipment and designs that meet company standards and deliver project objectives. • Providing technical support and troubleshooting services to maintenance and operations departments • Recommending and managing capital projects • Remaining current with Interpro Pipe & Steel business, including appropriate level of understanding of product manufacturing processes and applied technologies • Writing project proposals, including business rules, process description, business controls, opportunities, costs, and benefits • Writing requirement specifications, high level design, and architecture specifications for projects and plant processes Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with electrical experience, preferred • Minimum 10 years of experience managing projects involving equipment, buildings, machinery, process piping, cooling systems, combustion systems, pneumatics, power distribution, PLCs, drives, and other systems in a heavy manufacturing environment; steel experience, strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience in bringing large projects to completion by creating collaboration between operating processes, project objectives, and unifying efforts of management, maintenance, and project team • Electrical experience with knowledge of machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping • Experience with troubleshooting complex manufacturing processes, mechanical systems and processes, and automation and control systems • Mechanical and project management experience and combustion systems experience, preferred.
