What will you get to do?- Support project teams in multiple capacities including design of mechanical systems, fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, etc.
- Optimally communicate within a team environment
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Work to deadlines with minimal supervision
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Participate in client meetings and internal engineering design reviews
- Generate content for project proposals, including developing concepts and estimating effort and equipment cost
- In the process of machine build, support technicians solve problems and offer solutions
What will you bring to the team?- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, plus equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a design engineering role with experience in indirectly coaching and guiding junior team members.
- Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment
- Familiarity with motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, robots, etc.
- Experience user of CAD packages, SolidWorks preferred
- Use of engineering tools such as Mathcad, Ansys, or equivalent FEA packages is a plus
- Experience designing mechanisms for automation, complex electro-mechanical systems, and/or mechanical solutions that require a high level of precision is a plus
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
This role can sit in Merrimack, NH or Kalamazoo, MI.
