Senior Engineer, Mechanical
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the mechanical engineering technical authority across multiple programs and technology initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for mechanical design, integration, and product support activities across pre-production, production, and sustainment programs.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle.
  • Establish and mature engineering processes, design methodologies, and execution frameworks where formal infrastructure may not yet exist.
  • Participate in and lead engineering change activities, configuration management processes, and design reviews.
  • Perform and oversee system-level analyses, including tolerance analysis, manufacturability assessments, and design trade studies.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to identify technical solutions, manage risk, and support program execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of mechanical engineering leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technical efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Experience transitioning projects from prototype development to production environments.
  • Experience with engineering change management and configuration control processes on complex development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to create structure, prioritize effectively, and drive execution in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities, technologies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated mindset with a demonstrated ability to build capability and deliver results in environments where processes, infrastructure, and support systems are still maturing.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools, including PTC Creo and/or SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, engineering analyses, and the development of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
  • Experience creating detailed drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
