OverviewAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor for mechanical design projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of mechanical engineering solutions for industrial and manufacturing facilities
- Apply extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering codes, standards, and best practices
- Perform mechanical and piping system design
- Complete engineering calculations, including HVAC equipment selection and pipe sizing
- Develop P&IDs and Block Flow Diagrams
- Establish design criteria and technical specifications for projects
- Prepare equipment and system specifications
- Provide quality review and oversight of mechanical designs prepared by team members
- Serve as the primary mechanical engineering contact for project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams
- Mentor and train junior engineers and designers
- Coordinate project requirements with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams
- Develop engineering labor estimates for proposals and project planning
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with heavy industrial, manufacturing, process, or similar facilities
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required
- Strong working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including ANSI, ASME, IBC, ISO, and NFPA
- Experience performing mechanical system design and engineering calculations
- Proficiency with mechanical engineering design software
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to conduct field investigations and site visits
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%
