Full Job Description
• Generation of technical requirements for mechanical system from market requirements. • Design mechanical hardware and opto-mechanics for imaging systems. • Fabricate and assemble mechanical hardware using in-house capabilities and external vendors and CMOs. • As part of design and documentation, generate 3D CAD drawings and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks. • Work with QA to ensure high-quality mechanical subsystems for prototypes and products. • Understand how to prioritize tasks based on a product roadmap and drive execution. • Anticipated travel: Qualifications • BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 4 - 6+ years of relevant experience. • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills to clearly articulate ideas, problems, and solutions. • Good technical communication skills, written and verbal. • Proficiency in SolidWorks. • Good mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience in analysis of mechanical systems components. • Technical knowledge/understanding of optical imaging and instrumentation preferred. • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to government contract requirements.
