The Opportunity

The Senior Marketing Specialist, Digital position works out of our Austin, TX location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.

This is a fully onsite role.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

This role is responsible for leading the organization in leveraging passion about healthcare and technology to impact patients' lives.

The Senior Marketing Specialist, Digital is responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and measuring direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital marketing initiatives that drive patient awareness, engagement, lead generation, and demand for Abbott Cardiac Rhythm Management therapies, including the AVEIR™ Leadless Pacemaker portfolio.

This role serves as a key contributor in the development and execution of data-driven omnichannel marketing programs that support strategic business objectives and market development efforts. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and compliance teams to deliver innovative, customer-centered digital experiences while ensuring adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements. The role is critical to expanding CRM's digital marketing capabilities and advancing high-profile initiatives focused on patient and referring physician engagement.

What You'll Work On

Digital Campaign Strategy & Execution
  • Execute integrated digital marketing campaigns across paid media, search, display, social media, CRM/email, and web platforms.
  • Support direct-to-consumer and referring physician initiatives designed to build awareness, engagement, and patient demand.
  • Implement audience targeting, personalization, and channel activation strategies to maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure campaigns align with brand objectives, customer insights, and commercial priorities.


Performance Analytics & Optimization
  • Monitor campaign performance and customer journey metrics, including traffic, engagement, conversion rates, acquisition efficiency, and return on investment.
  • Analyze data and generate actionable recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Conduct A/B testing and optimization activities to improve customer engagement and conversion outcomes.
  • Develop performance reports and communicate key insights to stakeholders.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance (15%)
  • Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Analytics, and Commercial teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Support the review and approval process for digital materials within established compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure all digital marketing activities adhere to Abbott policies, brand standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • Manage relationships with digital media, analytics, and creative agency partners.
  • Coordinate campaign execution, asset development, media deployment, and reporting deliverables.
  • Ensure agency partners meet performance expectations, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Support continuous improvement of digital marketing processes and governance practices.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Advertising, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, demand generation, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience executing and optimizing direct-to-consumer digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing multiple digital channels and marketing technologies.
  • Healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industry experience preferred


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar analytics platforms. Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools, including Marketo or comparable platforms.
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager or WordPress.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, paid media, conversion optimization, audience targeting, and digital customer journeys.
  • Experience with UX principles, landing-page optimization, and testing methodologies.
  • Professional certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Advertising, Digital Marketing, UX Design, or Marketing Automation
