Description360 Live Media is seeking a
Senior Marketing Manger to join our team in
Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a marketing professional who can own integrated marketing strategy and execution for a portfolio of client events and growth initiatives. You will be the senior marketer clients and account teams rely on to translate attendance, revenue, membership, or engagement goals into audience strategy, channel plans, campaigns, budgets, and clear decisions about what to do next.
This is a senior individual-contributor role with full ownership of assigned marketing accounts. You will independently lead multiple client workstreams at once and be accountable for both the strategy and the follow-through. You should be equally comfortable building the plan, reviewing registration pacing and performance, briefing creative, presenting to a client, and getting into the work when needed.
Our clients are associations, nonprofits, and other organizations with major B2B events, conferences, trade shows, and growth priorities. The right person understands the realities of event marketing: fixed dates, registration and revenue goals, long consideration cycles, distinct audience segments, and the need to optimize quickly as the event approaches.
What You Will DoEvent Marketing Strategy & Client Leadership- Own integrated marketing strategy for a portfolio of client accounts, from business and attendance objectives through audience, positioning, channel mix, budget, execution, and measurement.
- Develop launch-to-event, multichannel marketing plans across email/CRM, paid media, website, organic social, content, and other audience touchpoints.
- Build campaign calendars, briefs, messaging frameworks, test plans, and measurement approaches with clear KPIs tied to attendance, registration, membership, engagement, or revenue goals.
- Define target audiences and segmentation using first-party data, research, historical behavior, and client insight.
- Recommend where to invest - which audiences, channels, messages, and tactics will drive the most impact, what to test, and what to stop doing.
- Serve as a senior marketing advisor to clients and account teams, leading planning and performance conversations and presenting recommendations with a clear point of view.
- Translate audience insight into practical marketing decisions, partnering with research, content, creative, event strategy, and account teams.
- Bring new ideas, tools, and approaches to the work and help build repeatable systems and templates that make the team smarter and more efficient.
Campaign Execution and Optimization- Direct and execute integrated client campaigns end to end, without day-to-day oversight; step into the work yourself when needed.
- Use registration pacing, funnel performance, historical trends, and campaign results to identify risk and opportunity, then pivot messaging, targeting, channel mix, timing, or spend.
- Write strong briefs and give decisive creative feedback to designers, writers, media partners, and account teams so the work stays on strategy.
- Manage multiple clients, campaigns, budgets, and deadlines. Prioritize well, communicate clearly, and flag risks early. We don't miss deadlines.
- Draft, edit, and improve copy as needed across email, web, social, and ads. You do not need to be a career copywriter, but you do need strong messaging judgment and the ability to make the work better.
Performance Analysis and Optimization- Review performance across registration, email, paid media, website, social, and CRM data. Spot trends, investigate changes, and compare results against plan and historical pacing.
- Turn reporting into decisions: explain what happened, why it matters, what it suggests about the audience or campaign, and what the team should do next.
- Use first-party data and research findings to sharpen segmentation, messaging, channel strategy, and conversion opportunities throughout the campaign.
- Own the accuracy of reports and recommendations. Establish sound measurement practices, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, UTM governance, and clear attribution assumptions.
What You BringRequired- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in integrated marketing strategy and execution, with meaningful experience marketing B2B events, conferences, trade shows, or similarly deadline-driven offerings.
- A proven track record of independently owning multichannel marketing strategies and measurable outcomes, not just executing individual tactics.
- Experience using audience research, first-party data, personas, segmentation, and/or customer behavior to inform strategy.
- Strong analytical skills: able to interpret registration and campaign performance across channels, explain the "why" behind the numbers, and make a recommendation. Comfortable with Google Analytics and Excel charts and pivot tables.
- Strong messaging and writing judgment. Able to draft and edit copy across email, social, web, and ads and give useful feedback to writers and creatives.
- Experience managing multiple clients or complex stakeholder groups with competing priorities, budgets, and deadlines.
- Strong client presence and communication skills, including leading planning conversations and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Fluency with email/CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp, plus working knowledge of organic social and website/CMS workflows.
- Experience planning, evaluating, and optimizing paid media across platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, and Meta. Comfortable directing media partners and working in-platform when needed.
- Practical AI fluency: uses AI tools to work smarter, but validates outputs, protects quality, and applies independent human judgment.
Nice to Have- Agency, association, nonprofit, professional services, or events industry experience.
- Experience with event registration data, registration pacing/forecasting, lifecycle marketing, or conversion optimization.
- Experience contributing to new business pitches, scopes, or strategic marketing frameworks.
- Experience mentoring coordinators or junior marketers. This role has no direct reports at hire, but leadership and future people management are expected as the team grows.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Figma, Teamwork, and other collaboration/project management tools.
How You Work- Curious by default: you read, follow trends, ask questions that weren't on the agenda, and want to understand why audiences behave the way they do.
- Independent and accountable: you find the next logical step, make sound decisions, and do not wait for someone else to set your direction.
- Strategic and hands-on: you can counsel a client at 10:00 a.m. and get into a campaign, spreadsheet, brief, or copy document at 2:00 p.m.
- Collaborative without being passive: you bring a point of view, push back constructively, and make cross-functional work better.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and real deadlines. Low ego about feedback and genuinely invested in the missions and outcomes of the clients you serve.
TravelTravel beyond the D.C. office is limited. Depending on your portfolio, you may attend 1-2 client events or conferences a year, typically 3-5 days each, to support on-site marketing, observe the audience experience, and work alongside client and 360 Live Media teams.
