Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Senior Manufacturing NPI Engineer is a hands-on technical individual contributor responsible for establishing manufacturing readiness for complex optical and metrology systems. This role is critical in ensuring precision assemblies, optical alignment, and integrated subsystems transition successfully from development into stable, scalable production. The engineer will help shape NPI execution standards and act as a technical anchor for manufacturing during new product launches.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support manufacturing readiness for precision optical and metrology systems from early development through production ramp
• Partner closely with Optical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable and serviceable
• Define and validate assembly, alignment, calibration, and test processes for optical plate and system-level builds
• Own pilot and engineering builds, including build planning, execution, and issue resolution
• Drive risk assessments, tolerance reviews, and process capability improvements for precision assemblies
• Establish standard work, tooling concepts, fixtures, and inspection methodologies
• Mentor Staff Manufacturing NPI Engineers and elevate technical rigor across NPI programs

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range:

$92,000.00 - $138,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.

  • Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
