ABOUT THE TEAMAnduril's Workplace Operations team is seeking a Senior Workplace Manager to join us. As part of the Real Estate & Facilities division, we are responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operational aspects of a work environment to ensure efficiency, productivity, and a positive work experience.
As a Senior Workplace Manager, you are the dependable backbone supporting the development and management or workplace execution across our Southern California footprint. You will support a diverse, high-performance environment that includes corporate offices, R&D labs, and production/manufacturing spaces, ensuring that our spaces are safe, highly functional, and inspiring. The right candidate will have a 'high-ownership and low-ego' approach, strong analytical skills, exceptional communication skills, the ability to build business partnerships with adjacent functions and external partners, and be able to resolve challenging problems with minimal guidance at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Manage Complex, Multi-Site Operations: Direct daily operations across our Southern California footprint, ensuring high-uptime, functional, and safe environments across corporate offices, sensitive R&D labs, and active production/manufacturing facilities.
- Scale Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Design, implement, and continuously refine scalable operational standards and workplace playbooks that keep pace with rapid campus growth.
- Lead Cross-Functional Business Partnerships: Serve as the strategic operational partner to business units-collaborating closely with EHS, Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, and HR to forecast space needs, remove friction, and support operational velocity.
- Apply Analytical Rigor to Costs & Space: Utilize quantitative data and workplace analytics to track OPEX/CAPEX budgets, forecast expenditures, evaluate vendor performance, and optimize space utilization across diverse facility types.
- Drive Facility Projects & Expansions: Plan and execute facility upgrades in coordination with internal project teams and external contractors.
- Foster High-Velocity Communication: Lead clear, rapid, and transparent operational communication-skillfully utilizing platforms like Slack to triage campus issues, coordinate incident response, and keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned.
- Lead with High Ownership & Low Ego: Coach, mentor, and build a high-performing workplace team, setting the standard for humility, accountability, and a customer-first approach to service delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 7+ years of multi-site operational experience with a proven track record in facilities, workplace, or campus management across a distributed footprint, with direct experience supporting mixed-use environments.
- Analytical & financial rigor with a highly quantitative approach to operations; proven capability to manage and forecast complex OPEX and CAPEX budgets, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and use workplace utilization data to drive decisions.
- Tech fluency and exceptional comfort with fast-paced, real-time collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack).
- Experience hiring, coaching, and scaling high-performing workplace teams, establishing a culture of high standards, agility, and accountability.
- Track record of sourcing, negotiating, and holding external vendors, service providers, and general contractors accountable to strict SLAs and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence cross-functionally with diverse partners-ranging from corporate executives to research scientists, hardware engineers, and manufacturing technicians.
- Relentless bias for action and ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex campus challenges independently, and lead through service and humility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with 5 years of work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience in Workplace, Design, Construction, or Project Management.
- Adept at swiftly adapting to changes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
