Senior Manager, TMX Information Processor acts as the operational lead and strategic steward for the TMX Information Processor (IP), ensuring the platform fulfills its vital mandate as the central hub for the Canadian equity market. In this role, you will lead product planning and execution across the complete product lifecycle-conceptualizing business requirements, prioritizing backlogs, and ensuring technical specifications are actionable and aligned with client needs. Working closely with Technology, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Senior Management, you will drive product strategies that support TMX's broader goals, secure executive approvals, and cultivate key industry relationships for commercial success.

- Job Location: Hybrid - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities- TMX IP Governance Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for the TMX IP Governance Committee, setting agendas, and addressing committee findings.
- Regulatory Compliance & Filings: Act as the lead operational expert for the TMX IP, providing the critical data, technical analysis, and business context required for regulatory filings and self-assessments..
- Technology Vendor Management: Provide operational oversight of critical technology vendors by managing service level agreements.
- Technical Specification Ownership: Act as the authoritative owner of all Information Processor documentation and technical standards, leading the evolution of functional specifications to ensure seamless integration of new marketplaces and data sources.
- Commercial Model Oversight: Manage the long-term financial model of the Information Processor, overseeing annual budget planning and fee-related communications while ensuring strategic capital allocation to maintain robust and resilient market infrastructure.
- Strategic Client Discovery: Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with institutional clients to translate complex data pain points into high-value product roadmaps, and other duties assigned by manager.
Must Have(s)- Communication & Distillation: Exceptional ability to distill complex technical outages or regulatory requirements into actionable insights for Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Legal, and Senior Management, as well as external regulators.
- Canadian Market Structure & Regulation: General understanding of National Instrument 21-101, with the ability to interpret how regulations dictate IP operations and marketplace data ingestion.
- Consolidated Tape Expertise: Broad awareness of global consolidated tape products (e.g., US SIPs or EuroCTP initiatives) and a nuanced understanding of how they compare to the TMX IP in terms of delivery and commercial models.
- Advanced Generative AI Proficiency: Demonstrated skill in using prompt engineering and AI tools to automate the creation of technical specification documents (PRDs), and perform rapid analysis of system performance data.
Experience- North American Market Expertise: 10+ years of professional experience, with a heavy preference for direct experience in Canadian and US Equity Financial Markets.
- Education: Requires a background in business, mathematics, or technology.
- Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Vice President, Proprietary Data and Infrastructure, TMX Datalinx.
Salary Range: 140K/year - 150K/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
