EY is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Risk to help organizations navigate increasingly complex technology and regulatory environments while contributing to the continued growth and market leadership of our practice.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights on technology risk, governance, compliance, and controls. You will lead complex client engagements, develop and expand key client relationships, and play a critical role in shaping EY's market presence through business development, thought leadership, and innovative service offerings.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager within the Technology Risk practice, you will play a leadership role in delivering exceptional client service, driving business growth, developing high-performing teams, and shaping strategic risk management solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing complex client engagements, fostering executive-level relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and market leadership of the Technology Risk practice.

Skills and attributes for success

Engagement Leadership & Delivery Excellence
• Lead Technology Risk engagements across external audit, internal audit, advisory engagements, ICFR/SOX compliance, and service organization reporting.
• Provide strategic oversight of engagements assessing the design and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs), and automated business controls supporting financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the senior engagement leader responsible for planning, risk assessment, execution quality, resource management, and overall client satisfaction.
• Advise clients on the enhancement and transformation of technology control environments, governance frameworks, and compliance programs.
• Oversee the execution and delivery of Service Organization Control (SOC 1, SOC 2, CSAE 3416) engagements and related attestation services.
• Provide strategic guidance on emerging technology risks, cybersecurity considerations, cloud environments, digital transformation initiatives, and evolving regulatory expectations.
• Review and approve client deliverables, executive reporting, and recommendations, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with EY methodologies and professional standards.
• Lead discussions with executive stakeholders and client leadership to address complex risk, compliance, and audit matters.
• Drive continuous improvement of engagement delivery methodologies, tools, and quality practices across the Technology Risk portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with EY quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry-leading practices.

Business Development & Market Leadership
• Drive revenue growth and market expansion by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities across priority sectors and accounts.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with existing and prospective clients at the executive and board levels.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies that strengthen client relationships and increase service penetration.
• Lead proposal development, pursuit strategies, RFP responses, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate across EY service lines to bring integrated and innovative solutions to clients and maximize cross-functional opportunities.
• Contribute to the development, commercialization, and launch of new Technology Risk service offerings and solutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, regulatory developments, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic positioning.
• Represent EY externally through industry events, conferences, speaking engagements, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Work closely with local, national, and global practice leadership to execute growth strategies and expand EY's market presence.
• Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities while contributing to the achievement of practice revenue and profitability objectives.

Client Relationship Management
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary relationship lead for strategic accounts.
• Develop deep knowledge of client business objectives, operational challenges, technology landscapes, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster long-term client relationships through exceptional service delivery and proactive identification of emerging risks and opportunities.
• Lead executive-level discussions and present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior management, Audit Committees, and Boards of Directors.
• Drive client satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery excellence and value creation.

People Leadership & Practice Development
• Lead, coach, and mentor Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants across multiple engagements.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Oversee career development, and performance management within the Technology Risk team.
• Champion talent development initiatives, including technical training, coaching programs, and leadership development activities.
• Contribute to resource planning, workforce management, and operational effectiveness across the practice.
• Support practice leadership with strategic initiatives, quality programs, operational improvements, and growth priorities.
• Build and strengthen relationships across EY's national and global Technology Risk network and broader service lines.

What we look for
• Proven leadership experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Risk Advisory, or related consulting services.
• Strong business development and relationship management capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and emerging technology risks.
• Exceptional executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Strong project and program management capabilities, including managing complex, multi-disciplinary engagements.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance client service excellence, operational effectiveness, and business growth objectives.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What we look for
• 8+ years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, or related professional services.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex client engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Must possess relevant professional designation, such as CISA, CPA, CIA, CISSP, CISM, etc

Ideally, you'll also have
• Strong knowledge of frameworks and standards including COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, ITIL, SOC 1/SOC 2, CSAE 3416, and SOX.
• Experience advising clients in ERP and enterprise environments, including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, and cloud platforms.
• Experience in cybersecurity, data governance, cloud risk, privacy, digital transformation, or emerging technologies.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership teams, Audit Committees, and Boards.
• Established network and industry relationships within key market sectors.
