Full Job Description
As Senior Manager, Technology Risk Advisory, you will be a key risk partner to the business and technology teams. You will help teams identify and manage technology risks early in the lifecycle of new initiatives, products, platforms, and implementations-when there is still time to influence the design and create better outcomes.
This is a second-line role, but it is not a "check the box" risk function. We believe the best risk advice happens early, when it can help shape decisions rather than simply challenge decisions that have already been made. You will work directly with technology leaders, architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand what they are trying to accomplish, identify where things could go wrong, and develop practical solutions that allow them to keep moving.
Our technology environment is changing quickly. We are bringing together technology environments, implementing new enterprise platforms and SaaS solutions, and rapidly adopting AI and other emerging technologies. The work will be varied, complex, and rarely fit neatly into a predefined assessment template.
If you enjoy getting into the details of how technology works, asking the questions others haven't thought to ask, and helping smart people solve difficult problems, this could be a great role for you.
Responsibilities and Impact
3 Serve as a trusted technology risk advisor to technology and business leaders, engaging early to help shape sound, practical outcomes.
3 Perform technology risk assessments across major initiatives, including AI/ML solutions, platform changes, and SaaS integrations.
3 Delve into details of how solutions work to identify material risks and gaps that may not be obvious from a standard checklist.
3 Translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable insights for technical and business stakeholders.
3 Work alongside new initiative teams to develop creative, practical solutions that balance risk with business objectives and delivery needs.
3 Exercise independent judgment to determine where deeper assessment, mitigation, or escalation is warranted.
3 Partner across risk and engineering functions to provide a holistic view of technology risk.
3 Help senior leaders understand significant technology risk exposures and their implications for the broader business.
Risk Innovation & Insight
3 Help evolve how Mobility Global identifies, assesses, and manages technology risk by using AI and other emerging technologies to make assessments more efficient, scalable, and useful. Including developing tools that surface potential risks, generate actionable insights, and enable self-service capabilities for technology and business teams.
3 Stay ahead of emerging technology and technology risk trends, with particular focus on AI/ML and the new risks and opportunities they create for the business.
What We're Looking For
A successful candidate will have:
3 Exceptional critical and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex technology environments, identify what could go wrong, distinguish material risks from noise, and develop a clear point of view supported by evidence.
3 Superb communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
3 Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to earn the trust of technology leaders and shape decisions without relying on formal authority.
3 Confidence to constructively challenge assumptions and raise difficult issues. You are comfortable registering a dissenting point of view when the situation warrants it, while remaining focused on helping the team find a practical path forward.
3 A collaborative, partnership-oriented mindset. You know that the best risk outcomes come from engaging early, listening carefully, understanding the objectives of the initiative, and working alongside technology and business partners to solve problems rather than simply identifying them.
3 The ability to work effectively across a wide range of stakeholders, from engineers and architects to technology leaders and business executives, building consensus and influencing outcomes across organizational boundaries.
3 An execution-oriented, self-motivated approach. You are comfortable operating with ambiguity, figuring things out without a playbook, and taking ownership from initial assessment through resolution.
3 A willingness to experiment with new approaches and technology. You are interested in using AI and other emerging tools to make risk assessment more efficient, scalable, and useful. Not simply to automate an existing process.
Basic Required Qualifications
3 8+ years of experience in technology, technology risk, cybersecurity, technology audit, consulting, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.
3 Demonstrated ability to independently assess complex technology environments and exercise sound risk judgment.
3 Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
3 Experience performing technical assessments of new AI/ML implementations or other emerging technologies.
3 Experience with scenario-based risk analysis, risk quantification, or other analytical approaches to technology risk.
3 Professional risk or technology certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, Open FAIR, or equivalent.
3 Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
