Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Manager, Program Management to lead customer-focused program execution at our Durham, NH site, connecting business priorities with the day-to-day work required to deliver on commitments. This role serves as a central point of alignment across Operations, SIOP, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Contracts, with responsibility for translating delivery constraints, program risks, and changing priorities into clear execution plans. You will have direct visibility to customers and site leadership while helping ensure programs remain aligned to cost, schedule, performance, and delivery expectations.

In this role, you will guide programs through the full lifecycle, manage key milestones and program plans, and work closely with operational teams to understand and address issues affecting customer commitments. You will also contribute to value stream strategy, contract and proposal activity, financial performance, business growth efforts, and continuous improvement across the site. The breadth of the position makes it well suited for an experienced program leader who enjoys connecting customer needs, operational execution, and business performance to solve complex problems and keep programs moving forward.

This is an onsite role in Durham, NH.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with the Site Operations Lead and serve as the designated onsite representative (DOA) during periods when the General Manager is out of the office
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor program plans, schedules, milestones, and priorities to ensure organizational and customer objectives are achieved
  • Partner closely with Operations and SIOP to understand customer commitments, identify delivery constraints, and communicate delivery plans, risks, and opportunities to customers
  • Prepare program plans, business updates, and progress reports while driving value stream strategy, execution, and performance
  • Lead strategic planning activities for assigned programs and translate business priorities into actionable execution plans
  • Identify program risks, constraints, and performance challenges and drive appropriate corrective actions, including resource allocation, contractual adjustments, and responses to customer action items
  • Support the development and execution of business growth strategies and new business opportunities
  • Support contract negotiations and contractual changes by coordinating proposals, business plans, statements of work, operating budgets, specifications, and financial terms in partnership with appropriate functional stakeholders
  • Lead assigned programs through all phases of the program lifecycle, from initiation through execution and completion
  • Serve as a primary customer interface for program requirements, commitments, execution status, risks, and performance
  • Manage program contract lifecycle activities, including cost, schedule, performance, and delivery commitments for assigned programs or major program workstreams
  • Support P&L performance and drive execution against sales, EBIT, and recovery objectives
  • Develop and implement standard work across key program areas while promoting CORE principles and a culture of continuous improvement across site teams

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience managing programs, projects, or product lines with responsibility for cost, schedule, performance, and customer commitments
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across functions such as Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, or Contracts
  • Experience working directly with customers in a program management, operations, manufacturing, or similarly customer-facing environment

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience managing programs or product lines within the aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other complex technical industry
  • Experience supporting production, operations, or supply chain execution and resolving constraints affecting customer deliveries
  • Experience managing program financial performance, including budgets, sales, margin, EBIT, or other business performance metrics
  • Experience with contract management, proposal development, negotiations, or changes to customer requirements
  • Experience developing and maintaining program plans, schedules, milestones, risk assessments, or executive-level program reviews
  • Experience applying Lean, CORE, continuous improvement, or other operational excellence methodologies

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
