Role impact:The Senior Manager, Procurement Sourcing brings highly experienced procurement and industry expertise to lead national procurement and supplier management activities, through a variety of leading practices. By providing best-in-class strategic sourcing services to organizational stakeholders, this role actively contributes and manages a team of employees to uphold the departmental and overall corporate objectives that support Procurement and Supplier Management's strategic vision and direction. The Senior Manager, Procurement & Sourcing will focus on the national scope of activities related to the following functional areas:
- Key Category strategy
- Strategic sourcing
- Contract development and management
- Supplier/vendor management and performance
- Talent and people management
What you will deliver:- Leads sourcing and procurement activities for strategic categories (e.g. key category strategy, strategic sourcing, contract development and management) nationally and related functional areas.
- Manages the strategic sourcing process (e.g. issuance, evaluation, negotiation, vendor selection) for the category, with the support of the Procurement Analyst and Senior Procurement Specialist, as required, by:
- Leading development of key category sourcing strategies, based on market trends and research;
- Recommending category strategies based on project priorities;
- Managing the evaluation of external and divisional bid responses against pre-defined criteria;
- Monitoring the contract package, for completion of the approval and ratification process
- Leads the development of the assigned category's strategic procurement plan, by translating it into a set of implementable and measurable strategies and targets
- Oversees spend analysis conducted by Procurement Analyst to make informed category decisions through the data available in the procurement system
- Responsible for the spend taxonomy and data for analysis in the procurement system
- Manages highly complex spend categories, provides decisions on high risk/spend contracts, monitors progress for specific categories to ensure that program objectives are delivered on time and within budget, and that anticipated business results are achieved
- Responsible for leadership, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders to identify and achieve the value for money targeted savings objectives
- Coordinates workforce planning to maximize productivity while meeting project demands; promotes team collaboration to assist other team members to achieve business objectives
- Coaches contract owners to drive contract performance and compliance; oversees and directs contract development and management activities for assigned category(ies)
- Manages, cross-trains, coaches, and mentors staff, and monitors work assignments to ensure adherence to timelines; defines team member goals and results and monitors activities
- Defines and articulates clear performance objectives; monitors performance and develops and implements action plans to address performance gaps
- Manages the vendor performance and relationships across Tier 1 service providers

What you need to succeed:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing sourcing and procurement processes and high dollar projects pertaining to the real-estate industry or related categories
- Relevant procurement or related professional designations such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA), Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC), and Project Management Professional (PMP) are considered assets
- Technical proficiency in Category Management, including: Category Strategy Establishment, Strategic Sourcing, Spend Analysis, Contract Lifecycle Management, Supplier Management
- Project management skills and technical proficiency to lead and manage high dollar value projects/initiatives
- Highly experienced in working with a procurement environment to support the eProcurement processes and identify process improvements within the commercial real estate industry
Starting base salary for this job level may range from $100,712 to $134,283. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
