Full Job Description
The Opportunity

As the Senior Manager of Partner Recruiting, you will oversee and manage the recruitment, onboarding and integration for all lateral partners in the firm's Boston, New York, Miami, Washington, DC, and London offices. You will report to the Senior Director of Legal Recruiting and work closely with Department Chairs, Office Managing Partners and other stakeholders in the assigned offices to identify, assess and recruit lateral partners and groups, in alignment with the firm's lateral hiring priorities and growth strategy.

The Day-To-Day

  • Collaborate with Senior Director of Legal Recruiting, Office Managing Partners, Department Chairs, and other stakeholders in assigned offices to identify hiring needs, strategic growth priorities, and target candidates.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Legal Recruiting and other business services professionals to conduct market research and obtain competitive intelligence in order to build a robust lateral partner pipeline and drive forward the firm's strategic growth plan.
  • Keep abreast of key market issues and trends. Track information and analyze competitive data, best practices and trends to provide strategic recommendations to recruiting team, practice group and firm leadership in alignment with the firm's strategic recruitment goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with search firm recruiters, counterparts in other firms, industry groups, and others and regularly communicate the firm's lateral hiring priorities and strategic goals.
  • Develop successful strategy and tactics for identifying and contacting potential candidates and creating bespoke approach for successful recruitment of each lateral partner candidate, including creation of optimal interview slate and targeted interview topics.
  • Review interview evaluations, LPQs, business plans, etc. to identify areas that require further analysis and work with Senior Director of Legal Recruiting and partners to execute additional due diligence on any such items.
  • Consult with Senior Director of Legal Recruiting, firm management, and Office of Inclusion & Diversity professionals to develop and implement partner recruitment initiatives that support and advance the firm's diversity commitment and goals.
  • Strategize with Senior Director of Legal Recruiting and internal marketing team to create effective marketing materials (including social media content, pitch materials, etc.) to support and enhance the firm's lateral partner recruiting objectives.
  • Supervise and contribute to professional development of other members of the Legal Recruiting team involved in lateral partner hiring.
  • Represent the firm in local and national legal recruiting organizations.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.


You Have

  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule that will occasionally require travel and extended hours.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and to recognize and treat confidential information in a professional manner.

Location Specific Language

The salary range for this role is $181,000 to $205,000 annually, which is based on a 40-hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
