About the roleThe Senior Manager, Finance will lead the local finance team and is responsible for leading the organization's financial planning, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and business analysis activities. This role serves as a strategic business partner to operational and functional leaders, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, sound decision-making. The position drives continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Business Partnership- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to business leaders and functional management teams.
- Provide timely financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Evaluate business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support capital investment analysis, business cases, and ROI evaluations.
Financial Planning & Analysis- Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast targets.
- Prepare and present financial results, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Financial Reporting & Accounting- Oversee and active participant in the closing processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger activity and financial statements.
- Prepare and review financial reports for corporate leadership and business stakeholders.
- Review and approve bank transactions.
Internal Controls & Compliance- Maintain strong internal controls, financial governance, and compliance processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit activities and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Safeguard company assets and financial information.
Cost Management & Operational Finance- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and commercial teams to improve financial performance.
- Monitor spending, margins, inventory, labor costs, and operational efficiencies.
- Support pricing, profitability, and customer/product line analysis.
Team Leadership- Lead, coach, and develop finance and accounting team members.
- Establish performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- Build organizational capability through succession planning and talent development.
QualificationsTechnical - Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems proficiency.

Education & ExperienceEducation- Bachelor's degree in finance and/or Accounting required.
- CMA and/or CPA preferred.
Experience- Minimum 7 years in an accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing teams.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, with budgeting, and financial reporting.
- ERP system experience: experience with SAP preferred.
