Full Job Description
The Senior Manager, Long-Term Planning will serve as the architect of our future-state planning for the North America (NA) market, comprising our US and CA businesses. Reporting into the Director, NA Planning, you will be responsible for implementing a structured, long-term strategic planning horizon in the NA business.

This role will optimize North American supply chain and fulfillment operations and implement long-term strategies aligned with business objectives. Working closely with our Planning team, Procurement, Fulfillment, Product, and other key stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional value to our customers. This role demands a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and effective collaboration to ensure a seamless flow of goods and services.

This is a critical Individual Contributor (IC) role responsible for two major transformations:
  • Implementing a formal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in the US, leveraging our Canadian model as a reference point
  • Leading and continue improving our existing S&OP process in Canada
  • Serving as the Subject Matter Expert for our transition from manual tools into an Advanced Planning System

Responsibilities:
  • Build and Launch US S&OP: Lead the design and implementation of a structured monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the US market. You will facilitate the monthly review meetings, identifying misalignments between demand and supply, and owning the escalation process to senior leadership when decisions on footprint, inventory, or labor are required.
  • Drive Long-Term Alignment: Own the long-term view (16-52 weeks) of end-to-end plans. You will collaborate with Network, Demand, Fulfillment, and Supply Planning counterparts to assess risks and ensure our infrastructure can support initiatives like "Project 500" (expanding to 500+ recipes) and "Infinite Choice".
  • Set-up framework to ensure alignment on long term network strategy across both markets, from a volume allocation to distribution center perspective, and identify risks and opportunities associated with evolving box count and site performance landscape
  • Resolve Strategic Risks: Act as the primary cross-functional liaison to identify and resolve long-range constraints. You will translate the "how" of planning into the "so what" for the P&L, quantifying impacts on inventory, cost, and service levels.
  • Champion Process Standardization: Partner with the Canadian S&OP team to understand their successful operating model and adapt best practices for the US, fostering a unified North American planning culture.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators: Define and track success metrics for long-term planning accuracy, including inventory health, capacity utilization, and forecast stability, establishing a performance-driven culture.
  • Support planning Tooling Strategy (Build vs. Buy): Help define detailed business requirements, participate in evaluation of external vendors versus internal builds, and draft the business case to move the US planning function away from manual Google Sheets toward an integrated, automated Planning System.

You are:
  • A Strategic Thinker: You can look past today's operational fires to solve tomorrow's structural problems.
  • Data-Driven & Analytical: You use logic to think critically through complex problems, exploring data to inform operational decision-making.
  • An Effective Communicator: You can distill complex supply chain risks into clear decision points for the Executive Team.
  • A Change Agent: You are comfortable driving process adoption in an environment transitioning from siloed operations to integrated planning.
  • Self-driven: You can take an ask and drive it to completion end-to-end without requiring continuous support along the way
  • Technically Savvy: You understand the architecture of planning systems (APS/ERP) and can articulate the difference between "infinite capacity" ERP views and "finite capacity" APS constraints.

It would be an asset if you have:
  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, S&OP, Network / Operations Strategy, or related positions that require cross-functional collaboration in the intersection between strategy and operations
  • Strong experience facilitating S&OP / IBP cycles, including executive presentations and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills - able to gather, organize, analyze, visualize, and present data to enable decision-making
  • Experience implementing, managing or working with Advanced Planning Systems (APS) (e.g., OMP, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, Kinaxis) and managing the "build vs. buy" decision process
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with preference for ability to automate within spreadsheets
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; strong mathematical/statistical skills.
  • Ability to work as an Individual Contributor who leads through influence across cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Product).
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities - able to convey the most important information to stakeholders, and to be effective in both technical and non-technical (business) situations.

You'll get...
  • Competitive hourly rate, 401K company match that vests immediately upon participation, & team bonus opportunities
  • Generous PTO and flexible attendance policy
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits with options at $0 monthly, effective first day of employment
  • Up to 85% discount on subscriptions to HelloFresh meal plans (HelloFresh, Green Chef, Everyplate, and Factor_)
  • Access to Employee Resource Groups that are open to all employees, including those pertaining to BIPOC, women, veterans, parents, and LGBTQ+
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company that is disrupting the traditional food supply chain
