About This Opportunity

The Senior International Income Tax Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Income Tax in managing the company's global income tax strategy, ensuring compliance with international tax laws, and optimizing tax efficiency across foreign jurisdictions. This critical role involves managing transfer pricing policies, overseeing international tax provisions (ASC 740), coordinating foreign tax compliance, and advising on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring projects.

Responsibilities

  • Tax Provision & Accounting: Manage the international tax component of quarterly and annual financial statements, including current and deferred tax calculations, foreign tax credit analysis, and FIN 48/ASC 740 reserves.
  • Global Tax Strategy & Planning: Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive international tax strategies to manage global tax liability while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Transfer Pricing: Partner with outside tax advisors to maintain and implement a defensible global transfer pricing framework, including documentation, intercompany agreements, and audit support.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Oversee the preparation and partner with outside tax preparers for the filing of international components of the U.S. federal income tax return, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118, and coordinate foreign income tax compliance.
  • Audit & Controversy: Coordinate responses to IRS and foreign tax authority inquiries and support tax audits and disputes in foreign jurisdictions.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Coordinate tax structuring and due diligence support for international expansion, acquisitions, dispositions, and legal entity restructuring.
  • Advisory & Compliance Monitoring: Monitor changes in global tax laws (e.g., BEPS and Pillar Two), assess their impact on the business, and provide recommendations.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and develop internal tax staff and serve as a key liaison with external advisors and tax authorities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax. Master's in taxation or LLM highly preferred.
  • Certification: Active CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive international tax experience, including experience in a leadership role at a Big 4 accounting firm or in-house within a multinational corporation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax rules (including GILTI/NCTI, FTC, FDII/FDDEI, and Subpart F), transfer pricing principles, and OECD guidelines.
  • Systems: Proficiency with tax reporting software (e.g., ONESOURCE) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build a high-performing tax team.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, critical thinking, and research skills.
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with Business Units, Treasury, Legal, Accounting, FP&A and our outside Tax Advisors and Preparers.
