POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Senior Manager, Internal Communications is a key member of Moss' Marketing & Communications department, responsible for managing the company's internal communications function across shared services — ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with Moss' vision, values, and strategic priorities.
This is a people manager role that requires both strategic instincts and executional discipline. The Senior Manager serves as the primary communications partner for HR and Safety, provides oversight across a broader shared services communications portfolio, and brings a strong command of change management communications to support Moss' continued growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and manage a comprehensive internal communications strategy across shared services, ensuring consistent, clear, and engaging messaging enterprise-wide
· Serve as the primary communications partner for HR and Enterprise Safety, building strong relationships with department leadership and translating complex initiatives into compelling communications
· Provide strategic oversight and quality control across the broader shared services communications portfolio
· Lead change management communications for major organizational initiatives — including HR programs, benefits updates, onboarding, performance management, and operational changes — ensuring employees are informed and prepared throughout the process
· Develop communication frameworks and toolkits that support leaders in communicating change effectively at all levels of the organization
· Partner with HR and senior leadership to ensure change communications are timely, empathetic, and aligned with Moss' culture and values
· Create content for internal announcements, sharepoint updates, all-employee communications, and other internal channels — maintaining a consistent brand voice across all platforms
· Ghostwrite executive communications for senior leaders, ensuring messaging is clear, on-brand, and aligned with organizational priorities
· Prepare compelling presentations for leadership and department heads, including content development, slide design direction, and speaker notes
· Manage, develop, and coach team members, providing day-to-day direction and professional development support
· Manage internal events and employee engagement initiatives, including town halls, leadership briefings, and company celebrations
· Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications efforts, using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategy
· Drive adoption of AI and emerging communications tools to improve workflow efficiency and content quality
· Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, and shared services departments to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging enterprise-wide

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in internal and external communications, with a focus on internal engagement and PR/media relations.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing internal communications and supporting external media relations and/or community outreach.
- Proficiency in meeting planning and PowerPoint presentation development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Proficiency with communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, social media, and email marketing software.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing long-term vision with current priorities.
