Position Overview

The Siemens EDA Strategy Team is seeking an experienced professional to drive business management and technical development processes across multiple Siemens EDA portfolio units. This is an exciting career development opportunity for an individual with an interest in accelerating business growth and increasing process efficiency. In this role, you will work in cross-functional teams with portfolio unit leadership across multiple technology domains, to develop streamlined processes to improve consistency, time-to-market and rapid scaling of our products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and align product lifecycle management processes across all EDA portfolio units
  • Facilitate consistent new product introduction and release management across all EDA portfolio units
  • Support financial modeling and analysis to enable optimal business decisions
  • Manage processes, data analysis and interactive communication of the EDA strategic planning team
  • Organize implementation of superior business strategies, guidelines, and principles
  • Serve as an enabler and facilitator across global sales and the portfolio units on trends and issues across the technology spectrum in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Services, Data Analytics, Chiplets and 3D packaging, 5G, and Edge IoT
  • Participate on cross-functional teams comprised of both technical and business stakeholders to build aligned customer-focused strategies to drive financially compelling results - then analyze complex ideas and synthesize them into actionable next steps
  • Act as a trusted advisor for executive management to identify and follow up on future business opportunities, ensuring continuous analyses and design of strategic positioning of the business overall and advising on long-term development of the product, service or solutions portfolio

Education and Experience
  • BSEE or BSCS is required; MSEE or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the IC industry and/or EDA
  • Deep knowledge and experience in the EDA, IC, and IP industries, including an understanding of the challenges faced by customers and the threats posed by competitors
  • Ability to delve into new technology areas and learn the necessary information to sufficiently guide strategy and process development
  • Familiarity with multiple technology trends impacting IP, IC, and Systems companies, such as AI/ML, Cloud, 3D IC, IoT, etc. and business trends impacting these companies, such as industry consolidation, startup activity, government semiconductor investment, cost of design, etc.
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team while engaging with partners and customers in an effective and professional manner
  • Demonstrated success in implementing strategies at either product or organizational levels
  • Working knowledge of business and financial processes that impact strategy, such as financial reporting, ROI analysis, M&A factors, and P&L basics
  • Excellent communication skills, including PowerPoint presentation creation

Preferred
  • Experience taking concepts from the strategy stage through successful implementation in an EDA or IC/System context
  • Experience in corporate strategic planning and/or financial planning in a semiconductor company with the ability and passion for both systems thinking and diving deep into details

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Role will be hybrid home-office with some flexibility in location
  • Will support discussions in various time zones, so virtual meetings outside of home time zone will be necessary.
  • Occasional travel required to support certain meetings or customer discussions: ~10%

The pay range for this position is $147,500 - $265,600 annually with a target incentive of 10 - 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
