Full Job Description
As the Senior Manager of eCommerce & Mobile Engineering, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our digital commerce and mobile platforms. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and high-performing solutions across our Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) eco system, React-based web experiences, and mobile ecosystem.

You will lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical leads, foster a culture of engineering excellence, and collaborate with business and product stakeholders to create innovative omnichannel experiences that delight our customers.

This position will sit onsite 5-days per week in Grapevine, Tx.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and drive the technical roadmap for eCommerce and mobile platforms aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with Product, UX, and Business teams to develop and execute digital strategies that improve conversion, engagement, and customer retention.
  • Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, and best practices for quality, security, scalability, and performance.


Team & Delivery Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team of front-end, back-end, and mobile engineers.
  • Manage resource planning, goal setting, performance reviews, and professional development for the engineering team.
  • Oversee project execution from concept to deployment, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery across multiple initiatives.
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Technical Architecture & Execution

  • Oversee architecture for scalable, high-performance solutions leveraging SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), OCI, SFOMS, React, and mobile frameworks (React Native).
  • Guide headless commerce implementations and integrations with internal and third-party APIs.
  • Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and governance across commerce and mobile ecosystems.
  • Drive architecture decisions related to SFCC, headless implementations, RESTful APIs, and middleware integration for seamless omnichannel experiences.
  • Implement caching and security best practices for performance and data protection.


Mobile Platform Ownership

  • Lead the expansion and optimization of mobile applications and experiences.
  • Collaborate with mobile product teams to define app strategy, user journeys, and release cadence.
  • Oversee integration of mobile solutions with eCommerce and digital marketing platforms.


Governance & Quality

  • Establish platform governance, including performance monitoring, incident response, and error resolution.
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to compliance and security standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement through technical reviews, post-mortems, and performance optimization.


Qualifications

Required

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Proven background in eCommerce platforms (preferably SFCC) and front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar).
  • Strong experience with headless commerce, PWA Kit, and API-first architectures.
  • Deep understanding of mobile development frameworks, app lifecycle management, and app store processes.
  • Experience integrating with various payment systems and third-party apis
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading engineering teams, improving delivery processes, and scaling complex systems.
  • Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure (AWS/EKS/Java/Spring) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Preferred

  • Background in both eCommerce and mobile product environments.
  • Experience leading digital transformation or headless commerce migration initiatives.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with ability to measure and optimize performance and user engagement.
  • History of progression from Software Engineer 12 Principal Engineer 12 Manager/Senior Manager.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-facing digital environment.
