Senior LRT/Rail Project Manager / Vice President

STV is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Rail Project Manager to join our team in one of our New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey offices.

The LRT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering light rail transit projects from initiation through design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. The role oversees multidisciplinary teams, manages client and stakeholder relationships, and ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

This individual will play a critical leadership role in delivering complex rail projects while also supporting business growth across the Rail sector. The ideal candidate is a strategic, client-focused leader with a proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure programs, cultivate client relationships, and identify new opportunities that strengthen STV’s position in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of rail projects, ensuring performance in scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans, including execution strategies, staffing plans, and delivery frameworks.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and high performance across all project functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project financials, including budget development, cost control, revenue forecasting, and cash flow performance.
  • Monitor resource utilization and staffing needs, aligning manpower plans with project demands and financial targets.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact and ensure successful delivery.
  • Uphold STV’s quality standards by implementing effective QA/QC processes and continuous performance monitoring.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key rail clients, positioning STV as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to strategic growth within the Rail market.
  • Lead or support proposal development, contract negotiations, and pursuit strategies.

Industry Leadership & Networking

  • Represent STV at industry events, conferences, and professional forums to enhance visibility and strengthen industry presence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insight into rail trends, technologies, and regulatory developments.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with internal teams across engineering, planning, business development, and marketing to drive integrated growth strategies.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement by incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel as required for client engagements and project needs.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.

Compensation Range:

$233,646.46 - $259,607.18
