Job Summary

The Principal Equipment Engineering Project Manager leads complex engineering projects involving the design, procurement, overhaul, installation, and maintenance of rail vehicle equipment. This role manages project schedules, budgets, engineering consultants, technical specifications, and resource allocation while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to engineering and operational standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex equipment engineering projects.
  • Oversee project schedules for rail vehicle design, build, and overhaul activities.
  • Supervise engineering consultants throughout project lifecycles.
  • Coordinate engineering activities from project planning through warranty support.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, and overall performance.
  • Implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Plan and allocate project resources effectively.
  • Develop and review technical specifications for equipment procurement.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues.
  • Support equipment performance improvements and process optimization.
