ResponsibilitiesThe
Senior Systems Architect provides technical leadership in the design and development of solutions for complex application and enterprise architecture challenges. This role guides the development of
application architectures, APIs, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services to meet user requirements, support mission needs, and align with strategic goals and Enterprise Architecture standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Technical Leadership- Guide Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures, ensuring traceability to Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise requirements.
- Provide architectural guidance across application, API, data, platform, cloud, and infrastructure services.
- Evaluate architectural approaches and guide the development of solutions that align with enterprise objectives, user requirements, and evolving technology.
Requirements & Systems Analysis- Guide the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and business problems to identify opportunities to automate, enhance, or improve existing systems.
- Evaluate computer system capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations to inform architecture and solution development.
- Translate user and enterprise requirements into effective solution architecture approaches.
Solution Architecture Development- Guide Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in developing proposed changes to solution architecture designs based on requirements analysis, emerging technologies, and evolving mission needs.
- Ensure proposed architecture changes remain aligned with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise requirements, and strategic objectives.
- Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior architecture staff.
Location: This role is fully onsite in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program; or equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
- 12+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant areas, including:
- Enterprise Architecture
- Solution Architecture
- Data Architecture
- Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
- Intelligence Community's (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)
- Previous National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and/or National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG)/Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) program or project experience.
- Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program or project experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.
Desired Qualifications- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
- Federated Enterprise Architect Certification, such as Certified Enterprise Architect.
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
