The Opportunity

This position will be based in our Cincinnati, OH, Exton, PA or Billings, MT offices with the ability to work in a hybrid setting, a combination of home and office, or remotely.

Your Impact

You'll be asked to support grading and drainage/stormwater management design for new and existing electrical utility sites, and renewable energy sites (solar, wind, battery storage), as well as access road design, permitting, and construction support.

Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of civil/site engineering projects:
  • AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Stormwater management calculations, design, and modeling using HydroCAD
  • Floodplain modeling and analysis using HECRAS or Flo-2D
  • Site layout, grading, drainage designs, and construction drawings
  • Bill of materials
  • Construction specifications
  • Perform detailed engineering reviews of the work submitted by others.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to others
  • Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met


Who You are
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and civil design.
  • Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
  • Experience in site design for utilities, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, storm drainage and stormwater management design, site grading, roadway, and utility design, sanitary sewer design and analysis, construction specification development and development of construction bid packages.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience
  • Ten (10) + years of experience in civil site/design as outlined above
  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite


Desired Education/Experience
  • Stormwater management and hydraulic modeling software (Autodesk SSA, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, etc.) experience in drainage, detention and stormwater conveyance
  • Electric utility substation design experience
  • Managerial and leadership skills a plus
