Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing (California preferred).
• 5+ years of legal experience, with substantial in-house counsel experience in compliance and regulatory law.
• Strong knowledge of import/export laws, tariffs, and product compliance standards.
• Familiarity with AI and emerging tech regulations is strongly preferred.
• Excellent judgment and analytical skills for providing practical legal advice.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with an ability to influence across departments.
• Experience in e-commerce, technology, or global trade environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on product compliance related to consumer protection and safety standards.
• Oversee compliance with import/export laws, including sanctions and customs regulations.
• Advise on tariff impacts, collaborating with supply chain and finance teams.
• Lead efforts in privacy and data protection compliance, drafting necessary policies and contracts.
• Monitor AI-related regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
• Develop and implement internal compliance policies and training programs.
• Partner with business leaders to manage compliance risks proactively.
