Full Job Description
Senior Leader (Client Lead) - New York / San Francisco

150Bond | Full-time | Hybrid

The role

You'll run point on a large, high-visibility client account with minimal supervision - owning day-to-day client management, shaping proactive media and storytelling opportunities, and writing to a standard sharp enough to go in front of investors, policymakers, or top-tier press without heavy editing. You'll also play a role in growing the firm: identifying and pursuing new business alongside the managing partners.
Must-haves
  • 8-10 years minimum of progressive experience in communications, having occupied a role from Director, VP upwards.
  • Senior, largely autonomous account management on a large, complex client, with the judgment to triage, delegate, and keep several workstreams moving without dropping anything
  • A fascination with media and storytelling
  • An established network of top-tier and trade reporter relationships
  • Elite writing and editorial judgment: able to write or tighten briefing notes, analysis, and reports to a standard that can go straight to investors, press, or policy contacts
  • Very close attention to detail - non-negotiable
  • Gravitas and stakeholder command, with the ability to guide thinking and shape outcomes across multiple stakeholders rather than just execute on instruction
  • Fluency in the account's world (the AI landscape, or investor and policy perspectives) so you can spot and shape proactive opportunities, not just react to them
  • Communications planning expertise: the ability to sign off on a smart, detailed, creative comms plan before it goes to a client
  • Excellent team management and motivation skills: the ability to motivate your team, while keeping work to an extremely high standard.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience handling tricky or sensitive media queries
  • Sector-specific relationships, whether AI reporters and influencers or energy and infrastructure reporters
  • A strong grasp of new and social media dynamics
  • Product comms experience
What good looks like in the first 90 days

Clients respect and trust you. Full ownership of client management with nothing dropped across several fast-moving workstreams at once, plus proactively project-managing at least one major announcement or media moment rather than just keeping the trains running.
Benefits and perks
  • Summer Fridays, plus a month of flexible work-from-anywhere in August
  • Hybrid working the rest of the year
  • Moving Day - a day off when you move
  • Additional days around July 4, Labor Day, and end-of-year holidays
  • Matched 401k, healthcare, and phone
  • Personal budget for home office, education, wellness, or gym
  • In-house fireside speaker series with authors, journalists, and industry leaders
  • Team offsites, appreciation lunches, and happy hours

Compensation: $125k - $250k base salary, plus bonus and commission.

Placement within the range depends on experience.
