Job DescriptionSenior Land Development DrafterCalgary, ABThe Land Development Team in EXP's Calgary office is currently looking for a Senior Land Development Drafter to join their team. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Western Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future. This is a full-time position reporting to the Land Development Drafting Lead.
What a day at EXP has in store for you- Senior level drafting reviews of drawing packages prior to submission ensuring compliance with City of Calgary standards and EXP drafting and CAD standards
- Provide guidance to junior drafters and responsible for checking work competed by junior staff
- Assist (along with others) with onboarding and training of new team members
- Provide drafting support for roadway and utility design on Land Development projects
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce accurate, detailed drawings inclusive of Residential Roadways and intersections, Water, Sanitary and Storm Distribution systems and grading and earthworks plans
What your experience looks like- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with 8+ years of land development drafting experience
- A strong interest in building a career in the Land Development industry
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- A strong customer-service mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a project team
- Strong multitasking skills, with an enjoyment of meeting deadlines
