Job Summary
The Senior Java Developer will design, develop, test, and support software applications using Java 21, Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS infrastructure. The role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, developing reusable software components, automating development and testing processes, and modernizing applications through containerization. The developer will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions, address complex technical challenges, and establish best practices for application development and containerization.
Key Responsibilities
• Design application code, implement technical solutions, and configure applications across multiple environments to address business requirements.
• Develop applications to solve analytical and technical problems.
• Perform all phases of software engineering, including requirements analysis, application design, code development, testing, release, and support.
• Design and implement product features, including reusable components, frameworks, and libraries, in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications using Java 21, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Work with strategic customers to containerize applications using appropriate application containerization methodologies.
• Establish and promote best practices for containerizing and modernizing a variety of application platforms.
• Use Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies to support application deployment and modernization.
• Design software solutions to address complex business and technical problems.
• Automate, build, and test processes to improve software delivery and solution quality.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to support applications running on AWS infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
• Technical degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, including Java 21.
• Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud-based application environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-based applications and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with application design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Backbase APIs.
• Experience containerizing and modernizing existing applications.
• Experience developing reusable components, frameworks, and libraries.
• Experience automating software development, build, and testing processes.
