Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Spark Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable data processing solutions using Core Java, Sprint Integration Framework, and Apache Spark. You will play a crucial part in integrating these solutions into our existing data infrastructure, addressing complex data challenges, and providing technical leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of distributed computing, data manipulation techniques, and a commitment to best practices in software development and data governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of developers. Lead by example in software development best practices, including code quality, design patterns, and security standards.
  • Architecture and Design: Architect and design robust, scalable, and resilient full-stack applications using Java/J2EE, Angular, and related technologies.
  • Software Development: Lead the hands-on development of complex features and components across the full technology stack, from backend services to the frontend user interface.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Drive the implementation of automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Innovation and Strategy: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements to enhance the development lifecycle and application performance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to provide updates on project status, risks, and dependencies.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion in a full-stack capacity.
  • Backend Technologies:
    • Expertise in Java and the J2EE ecosystem (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JMS, JPA/Hibernate).
    • Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
    • Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services (SOAP).
    • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
  • Frontend Technologies:
    • Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular (Angular 2+).
    • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
    • Experience with front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm).
  • DevOps and Cloud:
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab CI.
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
