Position OverviewDiverse Agile Solutions is seeking a highly skilled
Senior IT DevSecOps Architect to support a critical modernization initiative for the Federal Reserve Board. This role will help design and implement a next-generation examiner workflow platform that will replace and enhance a legacy system using AWS GovCloud services.
The selected candidate will serve as the technical leader for DevSecOps architecture, cloud infrastructure automation, security integration, and CI/CD modernization efforts. This individual will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and compliant cloud-native environments while ensuring alignment with government security requirements and best practices.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in AWS GovCloud, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline engineering, cloud security, containerization, and automation technologies, along with a strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks.
This position requires onsite work five days per week in downtown Washington, DC. Remote or hybrid work is not available.Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS GovCloud environments supporting development, testing, staging, and production workloads.
- Lead DevSecOps architecture efforts for cloud-native application development and deployment.
- Design and implement enterprise CI/CD pipelines to support secure and automated software delivery.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and related automation tools.
- Integrate security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Establish cloud governance, security standards, and operational best practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployment, and monitoring processes.
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or related technologies.
- Design and optimize microservices-based architectures and supporting orchestration frameworks.
- Collaborate with application developers, security engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Configure and maintain cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Support identity and access management (IAM) design and implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend DevSecOps tools, technologies, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with federal security requirements and organizational standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and implementation standards.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or related disciplines.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies, particularly AWS GovCloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, secure architecture design, and risk management practices.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with Git and modern source control management practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.
- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts within cloud environments.
- Experience designing and managing cloud identity and access management solutions.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting Federal Government agencies.
- Experience operating within highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and FISMA compliance requirements.
- Experience with Splunk for monitoring, analytics, and security operations.
- Experience implementing security automation and DevSecOps best practices.
- Experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
