Full Job Description
ZGF is seeking a bright and driven Senior Interior Technical Designer with a passion for design excellence to join our team in Seattle, Washington. As a Senior Interior Technical Designer, you will...
  • Possess a knowledge of all aspects of interior design, including programming, space planning, color and material research, FF&E, and lighting design.
  • Collaborate with and manage teams to generate, develop, and deliver quality design projects with a focus on the interior built environment.
  • Manage and mentor team members from concept design through construction administration.
  • Manage the technical design process and documentation and supervise workflow of design staff.
  • Develop creative technical solutions for constructability and to meet project challenges
  • Detail and execute construction documents with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and foster relationships with clients and consultants with sensitivity to project fees, budgets, schedules.
  • Advocate for an inclusive, supportive work culture through listening, learning, and actions.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor or higher degree in Interior Design or Architecture and a minimum of 15+ years of experience in the field. NCIDQ or AIA preferred.
  • Experience managing complex clients with multiple stakeholders.
  • Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design and technical project resolution.
  • Proven track record of success managing complex multi-phased higher education, federal, healthcare, lab, commercial development, and/or workplace interior architecture projects.
  • Deep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA, construction standards, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and other forms of project delivery.
  • Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution.
  • Strong skills in Revit and design technology tools.
  • Experience in large and small-scale projects across a diversity of industries.
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in programming is a plus.
  • LEED, WELL or FITWEL accreditation is a plus.

Base Salary Range

$122,000/yr - $142,00/yr
