Senior Infrastructure Engineer - CMDB Discovery to join a leading enterprise organization in the financial services industry. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in advancing CMDB governance, expanding enterprise discovery capabilities, and driving innovation through ServiceNow Discovery, cloud asset discovery, and AI-powered automation initiatives. This position is ideal for a highly technical infrastructure professional with deep expertise in ServiceNow architecture, cloud platforms, automation, and enterprise-scale IT operations.
Responsibilities of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:
• Lead the end-to-end architecture, implementation, enhancement, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery across a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Drive CMDB maturity through accurate asset discovery, dependency mapping, service modeling, and relationship management.
• Design and implement cloud discovery solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Develop and enhance integrations between ServiceNow and various infrastructure, asset management, and monitoring platforms.
• Evaluate and pilot AI-driven technologies, agentic AI solutions, and large language model (LLM)-based automation use cases to improve CMDB governance and operational efficiency.
• Serve as the Tier III escalation point for complex production incidents, troubleshooting discovery, integration, and CMDB-related issues.
• Lead enterprise infrastructure projects involving discovery expansion, cloud initiatives, automation enhancements, and platform upgrades.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, cloud engineering, network, and application teams to establish technical standards and best practices.
• Automate operational processes through scripting, orchestration, and workflow improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the organization.
Qualifications of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:
• 8+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or related enterprise IT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and ITOM implementations within large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience leading ServiceNow Discovery initiatives from planning and architecture through implementation and optimization.
• Expertise with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with cloud asset discovery, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, or enterprise AI automation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP and enterprise connectivity architectures.
• Experience with infrastructure integrations, on-premises environments, hybrid cloud architectures, and data management platforms.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and CMDB governance best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Relevant ServiceNow, cloud, infrastructure, or related certifications preferred, or ability to obtain certifications within designated timelines.
Compensation for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $90-$110/hr
• Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday on-site in Malvern, PA
