ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

We are looking for an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will lead the charge in safeguarding critical national security architectures, managing end-to-end security operations, and ensuring the absolute integrity of customer systems. As our security authority, you will work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams to evaluate security solutions, navigate complex compliance frameworks, and drive proactive vulnerability assessments that bolster system resilience.

The annual base salary range for this role is $127,000 - $151,000(USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

Direct Experience: 10+ years of in-depth experience as an ISSO (or a combination of ISSO and related cyber security roles) directly supporting IC or DoD programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Security Operations & RMF: Demonstrated expertise overseeing daily security operations for classified processing systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, evaluating technical security solutions, and executing risk analysis for system authorization.

Configuration Management: Deep understanding of configuration management processes for security software, hardware, and firmware to ensure continuous compliance and evaluate the security impact of system modifications.

Documentation & Lifecycle Management: Proven track record of developing, maintaining, and managing System Security Plans (SSPs) and associated artifacts throughout the system security lifecycle.

Technical & Framework Knowledge: Operational understanding of server/IA technologies, internetworking protocols, and security services, along with extensive knowledge of applicable government frameworks, standards, policies, and regulations.

Tool & Repository Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating customer-specific security tools, corporate security repositories, playbooks, and guidelines.

Compliance & Certification: Compliance with DoD 8140.03 requiring an IAM Level II certification or higher (e.g., CASP+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent).

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related technical discipline, combined with 12+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of directly related technical/security experience (16+ years total) may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
