Position SummaryThe Senior HR Business Partner ensures alignment between business operations and HR practices and objectives. The role provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers to support the organization's vision, mission, and overall objectives. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive people services that align people management and commercial strategies.
Essential Functions- Partners with leadership to resolve employee relations issues, conduct effective investigations, and recommend action for sensitive and complex situations.
- Coaches departmental heads and management on performance management processes, compensation and remuneration programs, recruitment practices, and management decision-making.
- Partners with leadership on progressive discipline and employment decisions.
- Develops and delivers varied projects throughout the business, actively participating in project teams and implementing initiatives while ensuring proper communication and collaboration across departments and with business partners.
- Collaborates with departmental heads and management to identify training needs, advocate for continuous learning, and provide coaching and mentoring support.
- Researches, analyzes, and reports on HR trends; uses findings to develop strategies and solutions that affect employee relations.
- Reports on people metrics as necessary (e.g., turnover).
- Maintains current knowledge of trends, best practices, and labor legislation to ensure attraction and retention of talent through effective people management practices that drive employee engagement.
- Monitors and evaluates existing HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational values and external regulations.
- Performs ad-hoc and cross-functional duties and/or projects assigned to support business needs and provide developmental opportunities.

Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field required.
- 10+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner required.
- HR certification (e.g., SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP) required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant labor laws and practices required.
- Proven experience influencing senior management and departmental heads to adopt beneficial people management policies and procedures required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interaction across all levels of the organization. Ability to develop reports, presentations, and recommendations for various departments.
- Technology: Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create engaging materials, reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to draw actionable insights from data; capable of analyzing people management policies and programs, identifying improvement areas, and developing detailed recommendations to increase organizational performance.
- Interpersonal Skills: Service-oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Discreet when handling confidential information; capable of managing multiple projects. Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven. Ability to remain calm under pressure and uncertainty, inspiring the same in others.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build strong connections, earn trust, and influence senior leadership.
Working Environment / Physical Environment- This position works on site in El Segundo, CA.
- Travel required to other sites as needed.
This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award. The annual base pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.
$155,000 (entry-level qualifications) to $170,000 (highly experienced) annually
