Position Summary:The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Senior HRBP) is a fully qualified, experienced HR professional who serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers. This role applies complete knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment standards to address a wide range of people and organizational issues. Operating with independence, the Senior HRBP assesses complex and sometimes unusual situations, evaluates identifiable factors, and adapts established HR approaches to deliver practical, sound solutions aligned with business objectives.
This is a fully on-site role based at 100 Hooper in San Francisco. Work is performed independently, with review at key decision points, and requires strong judgment, influencing skills, and the ability to advise leaders on difficult or sensitive matters.
Responsibilities - Partner with managers and leaders to support day-to-day people strategy aligned with organizational priorities and operational goals
- Apply in-depth knowledge of HR principles, employment practices, and policies to resolve a broad range of employee relations, performance, and workforce issues
- Independently devise and implement HR solutions, adapting existing practices to meet evolving business and employee needs, with review at key decision points
- Coach and guide leaders on performance management, employee engagement, development, and workplace concerns
- Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., Legal, Talent, Total Rewards, HR Ops) to build effective working relationships and deliver integrated solutions
- Advise leaders and peers on difficult or sensitive matters, exercising sound judgment and professional discretion
- Ensure HR actions, recommendations, and decisions are consistent with company policies, values, and employment obligation
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Complete knowledge and understanding of Human Resources principles, employment practices, and organizational policies, including strong working knowledge of San Francisco and California employment law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, synthesize information, and determine appropriate courses of action using sound judgment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt established approaches when precedent or guidance is limited, working independently and managing priorities with minimal oversight while seeking review at critical points
In accordance with California pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and skills.
California Pay Range:
$115,000-$152,500 USD
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
