Full Job Description
RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Highway Engineer to join its office in Cleveland or Columbus, OH within the Civil Engineering Division.

Remote work options may be available.

Compensation Data

$110,000 - $150,000 commensurate with education and experience.

We're seeking a Senior Engineer who is passionate about highway engineering and eager to play a hands-on role in delivering high-visibility transportation projects. As a Senior Engineer, you'll lead technical design and problem-solving from concept through delivery, collaborate closely with project leadership, and mentor developing engineers and designers. You'll also engage directly with clients, contribute to proposals and project strategy, and help grow our regional footprint-all while balancing hands-on engineering with leadership influence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for designs, CAD drawings, and specifications on assigned projects, under the guidance of and in collaboration with a Project Manager.
  • Works with other engineers on a project team, maintaining effective communication with team members, other departments, suppliers, and clients.
  • Coordinates with drafters, designers, and staff engineers within project team.
  • Completes drawings/project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Reviews drawings for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
  • Develops conceptual and basic engineering documents including studies, design criteria, material specifications, etc.
  • Utilizes computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Observes safety and security procedures.


Qualifications

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with others on larger, multidiscipline projects.
  • Proficiency in standard engineering procedures and project management methodologies and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided design software and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently under a hybrid/remote location situation.

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Local or regional travel (i.e. job sites) anticipated based upon business need
