The Finance & Strategy team contributes to Collectors' mission by enabling decision making with key financial insights. The team partners with our senior business leaders to support strong operational management of the business and to facilitate strategic decision making focused on key growth investments, operational improvements, new business opportunities, and strategic transactions.
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Marketplace Finance & Strategy team, supporting our rapidly expanding businesses in the collectibles marketplace space. This role will be a critical operational backbone of the Marketplace F&S function, owning key pieces of our financial close, forecasting, and planning cycles, and supporting cross-functional reporting and systems work that keeps the team running smoothly.
You'll report to the Senior Director, Marketplace Finance & Strategy. This role is based at our Santa Ana, CA headquarters or our Jersey City office, with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.
What You'll Do
Strategic Finance Partner:
• Support Marketplace operating teams to understand their financial levers and performance
• Help assemble the key financial and operational metrics used to create transparency into performance and inform decisions
• Assist with long range planning (LRP) and scenario analysis for growth investments and strategic decisions of the business
Close, Forecasting & Planning:
• Support monthly forecast updates, and help assemble the reporting and live-review materials that create transparency for business leaders
• Support the annual operating plan (AOP) cycle and quarterly planning cycles across Marketplace business units (PowerPacks, Consignment, PSA Exchange, Lending, Vault) - templates, submissions, and consolidation into the plan
• Contribute to the quarterly consolidated forecast - own Marketplace GMV, revenue, and OpEx inputs, review consolidated output for accuracy, and draft the accompanying analysis
Executive & Board Reporting:
• Support the analysis and data assembly behind quarterly board materials, board books, and executive reporting packages
• Help build clear, credible materials for an executive audience, flagging when results diverge from plan
Who You Are
• 2-4 years of FP&A, investment banking, investing, consulting, finance operations, or accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or multi-entity environment
• Strong working knowledge of financial planning and reporting processes - close cycles, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Highly organized and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple recurring deliverables simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling skills, including driver-based models
• Comfortable building with an AI-first mindset and quick to learn new platforms, with strong data quality instincts
• Detail-oriented with strong data quality instincts - you catch errors before they become problems
• Comfortable holding a position on a number that affects someone else's budget, and doing it without friction
• Self-starter who takes ownership of recurring processes and proactively flags issues and improvement opportunities
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required
Nice to Have
• Experience in a consumer goods or digital marketplace business with meaningful operational components (e.g., CPG, e-commerce), with working knowledge of marketplace unit economics
• Passionate about collectibles and/or sports
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $90,356 - $138,140. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
