Hiring Requirements:As Senior Financial Analyst this individual will play a key role in new product Innovations, and SG&A analytics.
New product launches impact all facets of the business including sales, field sales, marketing, plant costing, and logistics, therefore, this role requires a self starter to work with cross functional partners to ensure financials fully reflect all benefits and costs.Results will then we presented to the marketing project lead, and eventually sales and marketing leaders.This role will also analyze SG&A on a monthly basis and present results to their peers, and will coordinate closely with cross functional leaders on SG&A results and forecast.Strong communication and analytical skills will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities: - Support marketing team in evaluating financials for product development from conception to launch.Track results post launch and communicate to team.
- Establish an understanding of commercial benefits, as well as production and logistics costs to ensure P&Ls accurately reflect product complexity and go to market strategy.
- Present innovation P&Ls to marketers, as well as Finance Manager and Director of Finance
- Prepare and review monthly SG&A results, performing root cause variance analysis versus budget, prior year, and forecast
- Present financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to leadership and internal stakeholders on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Leverage your deep understanding of direct spend to collaborate with department leaders to identify risks and opportunities for forecasting and advising business decisions.
- Support the annual budget process by collaborating with department heads, consolidating and analyzing submissions, and preparing presentation materials
- Accountable for development, production and optimization of information databases and standard reporting
- Train and develop financial acumen with stakeholders
- Leverage previous experience and learn to optimize current processes, reporting, daily tasks, etc.
- Other Ad-hoc financial / business projects and reporting as required
Experience & Education: - 3+ years of experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA or Python) as asset
- Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Must be a proactive, team player
- Ability to communicate and present clearly with all levels of the organization
- Well organized, with the ability to multitask in a high paced work environment
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or business
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or CFA) and/or a sound knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Consumer Packaged Goods considered an asset
The annual salary range for applicants is: $70,000 - $104,750, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
