Summary

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and improving the company's financial reporting processes while supporting accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and operational finance. This role partners closely with the Controller and business leaders to deliver accurate, timely financial information, improve reporting efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the monthly financial reporting package, including the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial results, identify key variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods, and communicate findings to management.
  • Assist with the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
  • Support the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning through trend analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, operating expenses, and key financial metrics, including maintaining a 13-week cash flow forecast.
  • Prepare weekly financial and operational reports for senior leadership, including overhead, inventory, absorption, scrap, and other manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Partner with operations and business leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve financial performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting and assist with inventory accounting, including planning and coordinating annual physical inventories.
  • Support internal and external audits, tax reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide backup support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, vendor onboarding, credit card administration, and treasury functions, including AR factoring and banking transactions. Including foreign exchange hedging and spot transactions.
  • Maintain financial data integrity within ERP and financial systems while identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiencies.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and presentations to support business decisions.
  • Travel to the company's Mexico operations approximately 10-15% as business needs require.
  • Comply with all ITAR requirements and company policies.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate finance.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience with treasury management, cash forecasting, AP/AR processes, and fixed assets is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
